教学大纲

The aim of this unit is to enable understanding of how age, gender, culture, socioeconomic status and developmental stages may each influence an individual's exercise capacity and motivation to participate in regular physical activity, and how physical activity, in turn, may influence growth and development.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

1. Identify changes in physiological systems (muscular, skeletal. neurological and endocrine) across the life span;

2. Explain the influence and relationship of physical activity and human development;

3. Evaluate and critique assessments of physical function; and

4. Communicate the interpretation of evidence-based knowledge relating to physical activity and human development to a variety of audiences.
