Possible changes to your unit's learning activities and assessment items

For the remainder of 2020, resulting from Australian Government's directives requiring physical distancing and restrictions on movement because of the COVID-19 pandemic, any exams that are required for assessment in a unit will be online exams. Online exams may also use online proctoring to help assure the academic integrity of those exams. Please contact your unit convener with any questions.

While the University has made efforts to ensure that Unit Outlines reflect a unit’s learning activities and assessment items, any changes to Australian Government directives because of the COVID-19 pandemic may require changes to these during the semester to ensure the safety and well being of students and staff. 教学大纲

This unit offers students an introduction to the opportunities, principles and processes of the digital design environment. Students will explore the potential of digital communication tools and techniques as they apply to the perception and representation of design. Workshops will demonstrate principles of digital composition, editing and drafting.
The unit will develop an appreciation of digital design processes and methods, and will demonstrate various software applications in a range of fields including architecture, landscape architecture, interior architecture and industrial design.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:

1. Relate the application of digital software to creative expression in design;

2. Identify the elemental techniques for digitally generating visual and spatial representations; and

3. Recognise the potential of digital design communication techniques for the profession of design.
